This is HDV streamed from VIMEO, its not ABC.com HD, but a smaller company, Next New Networks, Justin is one of the key players. I had a chance to meet him at PodCamp Boston in November on the live BlogTV show with Jeff Pulver.
I ask you this question, the video may not stream instantaneously, you may have to wait a few minutes for buffering, but if Justins video was on traditional TV and was to be shown at 9PM on a specialty channel how long would you have to wait to watch the video?
The other question i ask is how long does it take you to set up your digital recorder to find content, to wait for the broadcasts to happen to record?
The digital solution is RSS.
Click on the orange radio signal button and whenever this person posts a new video it will be ready and waiting for you to watch without any setup, and if you delete it by accident the RSS will restore it if you wish (on demand).
