StumbleUpon Spam Worthy

Anyone using stumbleupon lately has noticed a large number of stupid and poorly designed sites popping up more than sites with decent content and design. Too many shitty Web 1.0 style travel sites and self promotional shitty architectural sites.

It is obvious that stumbleupon is suffering from the wikipedia effect of self interested people using the system to promote their own crappy websites, which of course devalues stumbleupon and my use of it.

I predict that stumbleupon will not last long, people are not willing to put up with spam. digg and other sites will gain ground because stumbleupon will be viewed as a tool to be exploited by companies with shitty advertising strategies.
